The golden rule of supplements: Never buy a nutrition supplement if you don't know what's in it. I thought I was crazy when I looked at the nutrition facts label for this line of gainers and saw that they completely leave out sugar content (the most they say is "no artificial sweeteners," which is key for "loaded with sugar"). Since they intentionally avoid hiding this information (isn't that illegal?), even on their website, I'm assuming it's packed with sugar as the main ingredient. Theoretically, you can make the same thing by mixing a bag of cake batter with a lean protein supplement. Or even mixing a few cans of coke with your protein powder. Of course that would be crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if the sugar/simple carb content was similar to the Russian Bear 5000 product. In addition to carb content, one of the most important things to look for in a weight gainer/protein supplement is the amount of sugar it contains. You cannot know the type to carbs (simple/complex?) or calories you're getting unless you have an idea of the sugar content. I'll change this review if they start giving consumers transparent and accurate information. Until then, I'm steering clear of this stuff. If they leave out one of the most basic ingredients that should affect your buying decision, what else might be in this product that they're not telling us?

This was great stuff until they recently changed the formula. I used to be able to drink a serving of this and work all day without hunger. It was thick and after drinking the stomach felt full. Now with the new formula, it is like drinking chocolate milk. I'm hungry again within 30 minutes. The product ingredients list remains the same as the previous formula, but I doubt that this is now correct. I switched to Syntha, not as good but acceptable.
