Genetics and age play a huge part in influencing your eyesight. While some are born with 20/20 vision and then as they grow older their vision gradually declines, others are born with weak eyesight. Whether you are nearsighted, also known as myopia, or farsighted, eyeglasses that started out as a way to improve and correct these refractive errors have now transcended into a comprehensive fashion statement. However, some choose to use contact lens instead of wearing glasses. Since contact lenses subtract the variable of frames by placing the prescribed lens directly on your eye, you have more peripheral capacity. While these have also turned into fashion statements with cosmetic lens that changes the appearance of the iris, the contact lens care differs from eyeglasses. There are some contact lenses that are only good for one time use, or you can find contact lens that you take out at the end of the day and clean in a solution. Since these lenses come in such close contact with your eye, it is important to wear them properly. Not doing so runs the risk of damaging your eyesight beyond corrective lenses. Wearing glasses improperly can give you headaches and migraines due to unnecessary eye strain.

Even if you have perfect vision all throughout your life, it is extremely important that you take the essential precautions to vision care. Vision is such an precious sense that we usually take for granted, however, ensuring that you have a proper health plan that covers eye care will make that personal responsibility that much easier.
