I don't mind brushing the recommended 2 minutes with this toothpaste. I don't feel like I'm using chemicals to clean my teeth. Teeth are clean and fresh. Also use Tom's mouth rinse.

This is a good toothpaste. It has fluoride to strengthen enamel. It has a mild silica abrasive to get off stains. Best of all, it has Xylitol, a natural sweetener (derived from the birch tree), which bacteria ingest but cannot metabolized, thereby killing mouth bacteria. The only drawback, and it is a minor one at best, is that it has sodium lauryl sulfate, a lathering agent, which some people find irritates their mouth. Over all, a very good product that I recommend as a dentist. Dr. Jim Koenig DDS

I was pleasantly surprised with how well this toothpaste works and tastes. I really wanted to get away from all of the pastes with blue dye 1 (very difficult to find in traditional pastes). I had tried other Toms of Maine toothpastes and they tasted horrible. I have sensitive teeth and this toothpaste seems to be helping with that even though it is not specifically made for such an indication. I tried their sensitivity formulation but wanted a paste with fluoride which theirs does not have so switched to this one. I would highly recommend it.
