Matrix makes the best protein powders I've ever tasted. Being a lap-band patient, I have sampled just about every protein powder out there and THIS IS THE BEST! If you like smooth creamy, chocolatey protein drinks, then this is a must have. You can mix it up by adding fresh or frozen fruit or lowfat yogurt and mix it in the blender with ice. It tastes better than any chocolate shake from any of your fast food restaurants! What a treat!!! It's also more economical to purchase here online.

I finally found Matrix Perfect Chocolate about 6 months after my RNY gastric bypass. I could not stand the whey taste and smell of many other products and tried this. Now I have my cup of "hot chocolate" every morning. I make it with the Matrix Perfect Chocolate, sometimes using the low fat chocolate soy milk and a packet of no added sugar Swiss Miss. Makes a wonderfully good full of protein drink! I am 3 years post op now and still drink it almost every day.

The first Syntrax product I ever bought was the Perfect Chocolate, and after finishing that (and enjoying it very much) I wanted to try something new. The Orange Cream sounded delicious, and it sure was. Mixed well, a little foamy, but great taste comparable to an orange creamsicle. However, about halfway through the 5-lb'er I lost all interest in the stuff. I think after a while my body just got tired of the same orange flavor, and now I have half a bag sitting in the pantry. The thought of making an Orange Cream shake almost makes me want to gag now, which is weird because I really enjoyed it at first. I think maybe because it's a fruit flavor -- in my experience the fruit flavors are harder to enjoy over and over again over time. I had a similar experience with the Nectar products, which taste great but just get old after a while. I would recommend the Orange Cream to real orange addicts, or anybody else as long as they get something smaller than the 5lb bag. The Perfect Chocolate suits me well any day!
