I experienced some life events that broke my sleep cycle and was on Ambien for a while. I tried Melatonin capsules and 5-HTP as alternatives with unsatisfactory results. As I was decreasing my Ambien dosage, I discovered these sublingual caplets. I was able to quit prescription sleep aids and now take one peppermint each night which works like a charm. Go to sleep fast and stay that way. No after effects in the morning.

Although the previous reviewer hated the taste, for me the peppermint version is quite refreshing. A bit like a peppermint lifesaver, although these are not candy. The sublingual usage prevents your digestive tract from breaking down the melatonin, so you get the full dose. This is sleep magic for me.

I am not one to argue whether melatonin works or not, I have had pretty good experience with it, but I would not recommend this particular product. As a fan of sublingual vitamins and supplements, I was excited to try this one. I took only one because it just tastes flat-out NASTY (very bitter). I also found the tablet very slow to dissolve for a sublingual product. It lingered so long it became annoying to hold under my tongue and I ended up chewing it instead. This defeats the purpose and benefit of a sublingual supplement altogether. The customer service was also lacking. It took more than 2 weeks to receive my order, and when I emailed to ask to return the product, it took more than 2 weeks for them to reply with return instructions. I paid to ship the bottle back, even paid for Delivery Confirmation to ensure it got there. The bottle arrived, but my refund never did. I emailed them to ask about the status of the return/refund and never received an answer. Not a good experience at all.
