I didn't purchase Fruitein from Amazon, but from my local health food store. I was looking for something to get me going in the morning while I was on a restricted diet due to Diverticulitis. The Fruitein shake has a pleasant taste and keeps me from feeling hungry for several hours. I usually eat 1/2 banana (or you can just make a smoothie if you prefer) with it. It doesn't mix well in plain water with a spoon, I use a portable shake maker (measuring cup with a removable lid) to mix. Typically I'll combine it with fruit juice (cold water works OK). The probiotics and digestive enzymes are also welcome, not to mention all the other goodies they pack into Fruitein. I have a sensitive stomach and it doesn't upset my stomach either. A little pricey to buy locally, Amazon seems like a better choice.

The flavor is really fruity, which I find pleasing, and it keeps me feeling full for about 3 hours. It is packed full of nutrients that aren't found in other protein shakes (e.g. bee pollen, spirulina, barley, green tea, seaweed, fruit, veggies, oat bran, apple pectin, etc.) I've been drinking Spiru-tein and Fruitein shakes for several months now and I have come to crave them in the morning. Fruitein tastes better than Spiru-tein in my opinion, but it is also a few bucks more expensive. Either one is a superior choice to other any other shake that I have tried in terms of nutritional content, ability to satisfy hunger, and flavor.
