I can't compete with the nurse's review, but I can say this is a good supplement for me. I've taken it by itself with nice results. And I've mixed it with sam-e and l-tyrosine which turns out to be a very effective mood enhancing combination. I don't take the l-theanine daily, but on those days I take it in the morning before I eat.

Olympian Labs,L-Theanine, has the most potent I've found to absolutely do the trick -into alpha brainwaves, it's relaxing, yet you remain alert - no drowsiness --no less than 400mg - give it enough time to get into your system --and if nothing else - I can honestly say it cuts the time for me to have an ORGASM literally in half -- and is also my insurance that it will happen every time!!!! (Of course it's my little secret from my husband - I let him take all the credit!! ;-) It's natural, an amino acid, which is a building block of protein, derived from green tea - I've found no side effects even when taking a little more - or even sometime with a nice glass of wine before bed!! I've found it also especially helpful for meditation work (minus the wine) - Needless to say, I never plan to be without it - nor will the Japanese who even put it in their chewing gum to help them to relax!!
