Bought this in Nov 2007, and love it. Last week (June 2009) it just stopped working correctly - didn't close; opened only when you pushed the button; otherwise a mess. Replacing batteries didn't help. Googled and called the company and they said to turn the mechanism off; take out batteries and leave them out for six hours; replace batteries; then turn it back on. Works perfectly again. Also, they said that they have a year guarantee, and if this didn't fix the problem within the year, it would still be under guarantee. Love the can -- would replace it in a heartbeat.

I have had this product over a year. Works perfectly. Motion over the lid causes it to open and after you put something in it auto closes. No more touching the dirty can, or anything such as that. Plus it is large but not too large so it holds the right amount. Easy to clean and not much more than put it in place and use it. It comes with a bag ring which some dummy in my household threw away by accident but I simply drape a black plastic bag over the can and place the lid on. Works great. Make sure you get the power adapter.

I have owned this product for a while now and I love it. I also purchased with it the AC adapter and wheels and I am so glad I did. Easy to move to clean under and don't have to worry about batteries. I use this in my home and it looks great!!!! Everyone who comes to my home comments how they like it and asked me where did you get this? I love the auto open feature and as of date it has always worked with no problems. The size is great and with the inside ring to to hold the bag it also makes ti easy to remove and replace bag. Highly recommend this product and I would also advise buying the AC adapter and wheels (they were easy to put on). With the great look of this product you can place it anywhere and not have to worry about hidding your trash can.
