Unlike the first reviewer, I actually *used* the product on my teeth. It's honestly the best tooth product that I've found. I originally purchased it because I was having some prolonged swelling and soreness around my gums after having a routine filling. Within the first day the swelling and the soreness had dramatically gone down, and within a week it had disappeared completely... and even better, upon my first brushing, I noticed that my teeth got dramatically whiter (I've been drinking coffee for the past 15 years and even the industrial strength whitening tooth pastes haven't been able to lift it one shade). After several months of usage, my teeth have gone up about 3 shades. I haven't had any problems with feeling queasy when using Dr. Christopher's Herbal Tooth & Gum Powder, but then again it I'm not about to drink it. No where on the container does it say that one should be mixing it with water and drinking it, or taking it internally. It says, "Use in place of toothpaste, or as directed by your health care professional." Clearly the last reviewer wasn't strictly using it in place of toothpaste, and I would wager to bet, that they weren't consulting a health care professional either. (Think about it, would you drink Listerine, or another tooth care product?! Or how about lead? That's found in nature too.) My only personal beef with the Herbal Tooth & Gum Powder is the taste (one of the reasons why I *know* it's natural... in fact most Dr. Christopher products are certified organic). It has some stevia in it to improve the flavor, but it definitely takes some getting used to. If you're the type of person who eats a lot of processed food, and can't tolerate tea without sugar in it, then this product is not for you. Overall, I love this product, and have no desire to use anything else after my pleasant experience. :)

I decided to try this product after reading all the miracle reviews regarding gums and teeth on the internet. I did, however, find it curious that all the reviews were from the same "loosed teeth" person so I kept looking after I ordered. I discovered that the powder may stain teeth. When I received the product, it did not mention this at all. I have emailed a couple of sellers and read some message boards and the powder seems to stain the teeth, but should come clean with a dental cleaning. I find it very irresponsible of a company to sell a product that is suppose to improve teeth and gums, yet the same product stains them. Also, why isn't this factor mentioned on the container itself? Anyway, I looked up other uses for the product and have decided to use it as an internal drink until it is used up (about a month). I am afraid to use it on my teeth.

Update: I ordered some pure white oak powder. It was brown, as opposed to this powder which is green. I tried both to compare them. The brown powder doesn't really stick to teeth. The green powder (Dr. Christopher's) sticks to teeth. Of the two, I prefer the pure white oak powder (costs $2.65 at a health food store). Also, the Dr. Christopher powder made me sick to my stomach, even though the ingredients are suppose to be all natural. I really don't think the ingredients in Dr. Christopher's product are pure. Even when I didn't drink it in a mixture, it still made me sick to my stomach. The pure powder didn't do that. 2nd update: I threw the product away.
