Would bleaching my hair really damage it
They say that blondes have more fun, but if you are a brunette who is trying to go blonde, there can be some big costs. Going from brunette to blonde usually requires that you bleach your hair, but bleach can cause a lot of damage to your hair. Here are some tips so that you can know how much damage bleach actually causes and how you can fix it.
The reason why bleach is so damaging to your hair is because of how it works. When you dye your hair with traditional coloring dye, hair color molecules are removed from the hair and then replaced with other color molecules. When you bleach your hair, though, the color molecules are simply stripped and not replaced which leaves the hair very weak. Bleached hair is usually left very dry and brittle.
If you do bleach you hair, though, make sure to take very good care of your hair. First, bleaching should usually be done by a professional stylist. If you do decide to bleach your hair yourself, make sure to use a kit and don’t leave the bleach on for too long. After the bleaching is done, use a very gentle shampoo so that you hair does not break or become even more damaged.
