On a daily basis I use my Braun hand mixer to fix my smoothies in the morning. While visiting my daughter in California, I asked if she had one, I had forgotten to pack mine. When she brought out the Fit and Fresh Portable Drink mixer, I thought, "Oh great this will never work." Well, I was very WRONG, it's the greatest! I have since purchased two for my travels. It's small, compact and light weight, but very powerful. Since it uses 2 AA batteries it's even better for traveling, you don't have to worry about wattage. I can't say enough about it. I would recommend this to everyone who travels and likes to make their own smoothie in their room, or even at the table for that matter. It's great! It fits in your purse if you want to carry it around with you all day. Try it you'll like it! From a happy world traveler.

I had a similar mixer before, but, although it was slightly more expensive, it was of a lower quality. This mixer is great, especially for the money. The only thing I don't care for is the mixers that came with it. I use the blade that came with my other one and it works great.

This could be a handy little mixer if it were not for the fact that the switch plate inside is too close to the contact making the on-off switch nearly inoperable. Last night it just turned on by itself while no one was within 5 feet of it. Look around for a better model like the Norpro.
