I bought this for about 30 dollars at Ulta (on sale). I was really excited to try it out; I've used cheap hairdryers my entire life, so the prospect of less hair frizz and better product longevity had me stoked. BIG disappointment. What attracted me most to this model is the gorgeous, shiny fuchsia color; however, this feature ended up ruining the whole dryer for me - its paint actually came off on my hands when I attempted to use it! This left me completely disgusted and I actually had to send my boyfriend out to CVS to buy a cheap model I'd used without any problems before. The Infiniti went right back to the store, where the salespeople were equally horrified to hear that the thing turned my hands pink.

I have broken two of these hair dryers in less that 4 months. The first one, the power switch broken internally so I couldn't turn it on or off. I liked it so much up until that point that I went and bought another of the exact same hair dryer. Unfortunately, less than 3 months after purchasing, I unplugged it to move it to a different outlet and it no longer works. I have pushed both the test and reset buttons numerous times, tried multiple outlets, let it sit over night and it just plain does not work anymore. I really enjoy how quickly it got my hair dry and loved the cord keeper feature but based on the experience it will be a long time before I purchase another Conair product.

My old Conair dryer finally kicked the bucket and I needed a new dryer fast. After reading reviews for about a dozen different hair dryers I finally decided on this dryer. I've used it about 15 times so far, so while I can't really comment on how well this dryer holds up over time, I can review on the following features: -Noise level: This dryer is pretty quiet. I wanted a dryer that wouldn't wake up the household late at night and wouldn't blow out my ear drums. This dryer fits the bill. -Weight: I wanted a lightweight dryer. I have wrist injuries and I can't hold a heavy dryer for very long. Luckily this dryer is pretty light and while it is only slightly painful toward the end of my drying time, it should be just fine for people without wrist injuries. -Quick drying: This dryer takes me about 15-20 minutes to dry my thick shoulder-blade-length hair, which is about the same as my previous dryer. I do have to dry my hair in layers, though, otherwise it takes much longer to dry (I didn't have to do this with my old dryer). -Multiple heat/speed settings: One of the reasons I bought this dryer was because it had multiple heat/speed settings, but only high speed/high heat works well. The high speed could even stand to be more powerful than it is. Medium heat/high speed is somewhat adequate, but takes a lot longer. Cool heat/high speed feels nice on a hot summer day, but is worthless if you want to actually dry your hair in less than two hours. Low speed is not even worth using. -All that nifty ionic/etc technology: I don't know any of the science behind it, but I definitely notice a big difference in my hair with this dryer. My hair is significantly shinier, softer, and silkier than it's ever been before. Overall, I'd recommend this dryer as it is pretty good, though not perfect.
