I have been taking these for several years. I used to take a hard pill, but it could make my stomach hurt. These are capsules with powder in them and don't bother me. I recently went through chemo for breast cancer, which can rob your bones of calcium, but when I went for my DEXA they said I was within normal limits of bone density, so I think it has been helpful to take these all along. They have also helped in my quest for more balanced hormones and to lessen some cardiac rhythm issues. And I read calcium can help lessen colon pollyps. I had some removed about ten years ago, but at my five year checkup I had no new pollyps. I really believe cal/mags are important for a woman, and these seem to be pretty absorbable. But do take Vit D3 as well. Your doctor can have your levels checked to see how much to supplement with.
